Attending one, 2-hour training is
MANDATORY in order to participate in a field team for the 2009
Point-In-Time. You must indicate a training date in order for
your application to be accepted |

Under the January
tab is a list of training locations with dates and times. Volunteers
and recruited homeless workers are expected to attend one of the
trainings listed. Trainings are strongly encouraged for all volunteers
and are mandatory for all homeless workers. Homeless workers must
present their homeless worker referral card to be admitted to
a training. Workers without referral cards will not be admitted.
The trainings will last approximately 90 minutes and will prepare
homeless census participants for the census scheduled for January
24, 2009. Some of the topics covered include:

Homeless workers who attend the
training will be compensated $20 for their participation. This
will be paid to them only after they participate in the census
on January 24, 2009. NO TRAINING COMPENSATION will be made the
day of a training. NO EXCEPTIONS. Homeless workers MUST participate
in the census to be compensated for their attendance at the training.
